I suppose we need to ask what has the k & n got over the original foam element.
K&n will do a direct replacement listed as GSX750 ES or GS 700ES (us market ). But in all honesty it will be just replacing like for like. If you think more BHP is possible without modding jetting etc the added power will be so minuscule .

Just personal preference... I know there is no performance increase but i find the K&N easier to maintain I have found cleaning the foam filters sometimes makes the pores in the foam swell and it wont breath as well.
