Hi, I am wondering what others have done regarding the back shock on the pop-ups when it has worn. Whether anyone has replaced with genuine or aftermarket as I am sure the units are not serviceable. Would appreciate anyone's Feedback.
Thank you.
Dave.

The rear shock is not servicable, I have tried many places.
Any replacement unit as in second hand no matter how low the milage will now be gash as the oil will have "gone off" or lost viscosity.
Hagon do replacement that you can get the remote resovoir fitted, but in all honesty seem quite expensive....but I am a Yorkshireman and a courier. So ...
I found an aftermarket shock by an Italian company destined for the Greek police for a 750 ES and left the resovoir adjuster on for asthetics, which in reality is all it was!

Hi Fossie, thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what brand the shock was please? I was looking at wilbers 640 and thought about a genuine one if they are even available but then have been sitting for 30 odd years and as you have said, the oil would be shite and the seals may not be good either.
Cheers,
Dave.

The company that made the shock is Bitubo, checked out their site they do remote reservoir stuff.
But d&k ( twowheelspares ) on eBay have a 750 Es shocker for £71 or offer.......you should get it for £50 and a few quid postage, if you need one .....could be worth a punt......if it gash you have a few days and they will refund...just a thought.

Hi Fossie, thanks for that. I am in Australia so buying the shock from d&k probably won't suit me. There is a supplier here I have found for Bitubo, saw the one for the 750es police bike so now at least I know what and where to get it.
Thank you for your help and advice.
Cheers,
Dave.

Can't imagine why it wouldn't ...may sit higher because of stronger Spring which may affect side stand angle but that can't be a bad thing as the pop up is too straight up as standard.

heres my reasoning, the pop up shares the full floater back end that the efe wears so its likely that the components will be the same, but there are a lot more efe's around than pop up kats, so the available pool is wider, plus, as there are more efe's about in the oldskool world, there must be another shock from a later bike that owners have found to replace the stock suzuki one on the efe, thus it must also fit the pop up kat. just trying to think laterally.

Hi John, haven't been on here for a while. What you say makes great sense. It would be good to know what others have done for the efe replacement or just look at an efe shock anyway.
Thanks for your input.

I also want to replace the rear shock on my Pop-Up.
I´m thinking about to use Wilbers Typ540 or maybe Typ640. Has anybody experience with these shock from Wilbers?
