Removing headlamp bulb

Have fairing off and replaced headlamp control unit, Burt really struggling to get to headlamp bulb, is there a trick to getting connector and rubber boot off, or do you need to dismantle more stuff to get to it than just taking fairing off?

Wind the headlamp up manually and it gives loads of access.
