I’m sure it’s been asked before…

but here goes!

530 chain and sprockets to keep original gearing, and where to get them?

I did one of mine which I wrote up and it was in one of the Pride's. Thought it was Pride 42 but that is missing (from when the website went AOL), but found up my article (text only without images though I do have the images separately):

17/48 most go for I think, but I went 17/49 which is closer to the original if using metric sized tyres but I did find the bike a little more revvy after the 630 15/42 setup.

I do have a chain splitter / rivetter for the 630 / 530 chain if you want to borrow it.

Cheers Rob.

That’s spot on.

I did recall something about using a larger front sprocket to avoid the chain chewing it’s way through the swinging arm!

Currently the bike has no chain and no sprockets

I have a “Whale” chain tool and a matched hammer, so thanks for the offer of the splitter/riveter. I need the sprockets so I can build up the rear wheel ready to assemble the chassis.
