Hi all
New to the group. I have a UK-registered-from-new, 1982 Suzuki GSX1000SZ in pretty standard trim, with an indicated 8,355 miles on the clock. Just a bit of work to do to bleed the brakes and then get out and about on her.
I've been riding for 44 years now and a good mate of mine, Bob (don't know if he is on here?) also has a UK-from-new '82 1000SZ. This one is his second, having bought his first 1000 brand new in 1982 from Wall & Sagar in Lancaster, for the enormous sum of £2,550!!
That's three of the 166 - are there any other 1000 owners on here? I expect there are a few and be good to catch up with fellow owners in due course.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick and welcome. There's also a FB group if you do FB. I'm guessing you mean Bobster with the 1000 (got a GT250 as well I think). He used to be on here but not recently but I've seen him comment a few times in the FB group.

Hi UB. Not sure about the name Bobster, but this is my mate Bob with his original 1000SZ and his current one - see photos in viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9602. Cheers. Mick

Welcome board, yes I've got a 1000, same as I had years ago, ride it all the time, all weathers!
There are some Katana meet ups coming up, one in Peak District end of April and one in Germany beginning of July.
