Wow. That looks to still be in excellent condition. Love the old photo. Especially the Austin Maxi in the background. I passed my car driving test in one of them. I have BT46 font and back on my 1,000.
I don't ride with my knee down but they make me feel comfortable within the limits of my riding cabilities. I'm very happy with them.

The lower faring looks like the ones that were fitted to Australian Kats. I will see if I can find a photo of one that I took of one circa 2005.

............ but you'd need to cut them in half to get them on then alloy weld back together. :P How about cutting the flared end off the top of the pipe, putting the clamp on, then welding the flared pipe end back on. Easier than welding alloy, and the welding scar should be hidden by the clamp. D...
