1000's had push pull and 1100 had just the pull afaik. then i see in your pic theres a push pull. strange. 1100s as i say, only had one Yes your right thank you, found them on fowlers, so the whole right switch gear is katana 1000, thats interesting, so am i right in saying all 1100 are single thro...

Vm33 smoothbores so push pull,apparently these were fitted to the bike from new with a yoshi exhaust and oil cooler.....there seems to be more bare wire at the carb end to wrap around the carb linkage than a standard cable (albeit a gsx1100et cable but they had similar cv carbs so guessing very simi...

Throttle cables

Seem to be having a bit of a senior moment but can't seem to find any push pull throttle cables for my 1100SZ, Robinsons only show just one and fowlers show none, can someone point me in the right direction please, many thanks

Hello I'm going to look at an engine (only) that is said to be a katana 1000, been told engine number is GSX10X-100406 I believe its fitted with vm33 not vm32 carbs, any information greatly appreciated and yes.... happy Christmas to you all :lol: carbs are measured on the engine side, theyre all vm...

Gsx1000sz engine I. D.

Hello

I'm going to look at an engine (only) that is said to be a katana 1000, been told engine number is

GSX10X-100406

I believe its fitted with vm33 not vm32 carbs, any information greatly appreciated and yes.... happy Christmas to you all :lol:

frame is SZ. frame is also bent on the right side footpeg carrier. they almost always bend where the rear brake pivot is welded into the lower tube. its visibly bent in the pic. the lower tube should be straight but the forces of braking bend the tube in time. That engine has been painted aftermarket,its the wrong colour and type. Ultimately it dosen't really matter 40 years on , its going get blasted and recoated eitherway I'd have thought. I’ve just notice it doesn’t mention “overseas” on the special notes 2DCD9C9B-DA39-42B6-B5E3-CF4780175E02.jpeg That'll explain the kp/h clocks then and the 1989 registration.
