Re: New toy.

Just a quick addendum. For my sins I'm building up a ZZR600, another basket case. The Tokico calipers on this do not work, mainly because they didn't come in the multitude of boxed bits. I bought what I presumed were replacement Nissins, but the mounting spacing is different (90mm, the Kwaks are 63m...

New toy.

I know this is an interloper in the 'purity' of the Kat community, but this is the one I spent a little time putting back together. It was a freebie, I think the bloke just wanted the pile of bits cleared out of his garage. Took it all apart, sandblasted, painted, assembled the jigsaw puzzle and kno...

Re: Looking for a good home

Not been on for a bit so missed the posts. In the process of selling my Aprilia too as it's time to acknowledge that old age is a b*tch and I am not immune. If nobody within the clan is interested, she'll be on the Evil Bay next week. Be interesting to see what these are actually worth out in the co...

Looking for a good home

A very tentative posting, more to test the waters. I am thinking of selling the Kat, not because I have fallen out with her, far from it. It is, in fact, a little too nice for my kind of riding. I don't thrash my bikes, but I do like to keep up a good pace. The little Kat is quite happy to do that, ...

hi dean
Have a complete set ready to go. If you can hold off for a few more weeks I'll be able to run up to you and show you how. Either that or rebuild yours. These didnt cost a lot, just time respacing them.
cheers

BDST 28mm. You are stuck with them for the time being so renew gaskets, use E5 and definitely put a fuel filter between carb and tank.

Re: Replacing Mikuni BDST 32 carburettors with type BS 32.

Hi tigcraft. Not sure what the carbs are on the 250, I do know its a different engine type, a photo of them might help. As it is, I am looking for alternatives to the BS32s to fit on the Bandit VC I am working on. It ran great, until the damn carbs started floding... again! They will need to be slim...

Replacing Mikuni BDST 32 carburettors with type BS 32.

At some point, anyone running a 400 – 4 Suzuki, be it Bandit, GSXR or Katana will have suffered flooding, hard starting and or plug fouling at the least. I had all of these (and still do so on a Bandit VC that I am working on). By fortuitous chance, a friend I help out building his trikes had a box ...

Re: one year review.

Hi Smallkat. Short answer, I have a set ready to go, didn't cost me much other than quite a bit of time, so, yes, I would be happy to pass them on. Longer answer. I have picked up, for free, a Bandit VC. Needed a total strip and renovation but is ready for the road. I bought these from a GS650, they...
