Re: Starter clutch methinks

Nothing loose, it was on very tight, and all looked fine, and in fact in good condition. I will order the spring etc set and see if that does the trick. Not cheap at £32 for a couple of minute bits. A bit cheeky methinks.

Re: Starter clutch methinks

I compared it with schematics on the net, and carefully checked it over and found nothing wrong... Perhaps the pins and rollers are slightly worn, and are sticking. Let me get the pin/spring/roller set and see if that cures it.

Starter clutch methinks

Folks, a quick question please. the starter motor spins fine, but does not engage(ie turn the motor over) Is this a buggered starter clutch, and if so, do I have to replace the whole thing, or just a part of it?

Whole thing is £220/EUR 260.

Thanks Peter

Re: Seat covering Fabric

Bought it, it looks to be quite a close match texture wise to the original, but the durability may be an issue. Also the colour is much lighter than it appears on ebay. Let me get back to them and find out if they have it darker, and do some rip tests too,

Re: Seat covering Fabric

Bought some will have a lok at it and post my findings. If it looks the biz, then I will send it with seat to SteveA(assuming he is keen) and ask him to work his magic!

Re: Seat covering Fabric

Methinks its faux alcantara, which is more "accurate" for our seats than real alcantara I think, but then I may be talking complete bs....

Seat covering Fabric

Folks I seem to remember that our resident seat covering expert( forgot who it is) could not find the material he was looking for in a dark enough colour. I found this, whaddya think? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Italian-alcantara-fabric-faux-suede-leather-dark-blue-x-1metre-/221200510158?pt=UK_Crafts_...
