Hello I'm going to look at an engine (only) that is said to be a katana 1000, been told engine number is GSX10X-100406 I believe its fitted with vm33 not vm32 carbs, any information greatly appreciated and yes.... happy Christmas to you all :lol: carbs are measured on the engine side, theyre all vm...

It's just a bog stock 750 es, a worthy machine, but not a kat, and as a 750, not really worth more than 7-8 hundred quid.

yoshi pipe with sand bent downpipes is an absolute work of automotive art. the curved silencer is just yoshi giving the finger to everybody else and saying 'just look at the curves'. they didnt need to make it curved, they just did it cos its beautiful. its a stunning bit of kit.

frame is SZ.
frame is also bent on the right side footpeg carrier. they almost always bend where the rear brake pivot is welded into the lower tube. its visibly bent in the pic. the lower tube should be straight but the forces of braking bend the tube in time.

if youve removed the resistor caps, why not buy resistor plugs instead, theyre usually the same numbers as the ordinary plugs but with an 'r' added on the letters at the start.

there were quite a few vm32 sets that were bored out to something like 35 or 36mm for racing, but im not sure on the exact details.
