EK12

A dangerous time in my life ..I'm off work for a week or so due to the NHS realising I'm getting old and taking the oppotunity to poke /prod etc....Anyway armed with time /laptop /planet rock on radio and the need to just do something that dosen't involve lifting /riding / bending down I'm confronting the subject of EK12 .

I've contacted the German club about the subject asking if they have owt in motion , or do we just go to their rally in June , (which is nowadays a joint with another club ) or I've made enquiries about a similar setup to NL in Belgium ..
We have a few months to AGM ( which I have a location in mind for , mid country).
However I'd really appreciate your input , both for and against in this case ...
I did mention we would prefer not for the EK to be in Late July/August as the ferry fares just double for no reason .

Another thread of thought is if in Germany maybe coming over to my gaff in France to make it a touring holiday for some ..

June is not good for us, but we are 2 people. If the club decides June, then June it will be.

no glastonbury in 2026 so all june is free for me.

Conversed with the German club and they are going to suss it .. 2 options on dates end of May or first week in August .. I've left it up to them and asked for a clue by mid October .. Area seems to be Sauerland , which is a national forest area of NRW .. sort of Mohnesee ( Mohne dam area. ) yep that one !!

Again I will add an invite to my gaff in France to make it a Eurotour .. I'll keep you posted.

Hello friends, dear Katana lovers,

We've been looking for a suitable location for the past few weeks and have finally found it.
A perfect place to host EuroKat 12 with all our friends and interested parties.
The date is
July 3rd to 5th, and the location is the
Fröndenberg Canoe Club.

Further information to follow.

As said very close to the Mohnesee , ( from a personal point I will travel past my old boarding school ..if we travel through Dortmund of course )

As usual: clubmembers invited to stop at my place at Thursday for the usual accomodation, travel to Fröndenberg on Friday after breakfast. If we take fast roads, we'll be at the gates about 1.5 hours later, but we won't.
