Off topic stightly here, but useful info. :ugeek:
A short while ago in conversation with a club member , he said that when in Belgium he filled up with 'super' unleaded and his Kat ran like a bag of .....
To night I read an article about the lack of information about E15 unleaded fuel..which we don't have in this country....yet! This could be the answer because if given the option of 2 types of petrol & one is normal then you'd assume the other to be the 'super' ;)
E15 petrol is unleaded and is 15% ethanol as opposed to the usual 10% in normal unleaded AND should NOT be used in motorcycles or ATV engines... It is not suitable. :o

So when overseas you will find pumps marked 95 Oct this is unleaded.( OK)..98 oct this is super unleaded very ok). & E15 this is not even petrol . ( avoid).

Hi Sparki
I will meet you at the dragonfly hotel at 19:00. It's at the junction of A20 and A120.

I will probably be there a bit earlier, if the M25 is not to bad

The filtering thing in Germany was bugging me so I thought I would get local knowledge from Pedda:

"filtering in Germany is not allowed and you might get fined if caught. Can't tell the tarriff though as I never been in that situation.
Most German bikers will do filtering once in a traffic jam, Problem is: German car drivers are'nt just used to it which might lead to dangerous situations because they love jumping lanes to gain a bit of an advantage. So what you should do is: filtering, but slowly. You will find some drivers will pull aside to give you more space, on rare occasions some will do just the opposite.
Fortunatelly we got a new habit: form rescue lanes. That even works from time to time, so you can use this for filtering - again: slowly. German drivers don't seem to use their back mirror very often, they surely don't in a traffic jam. Did I tell you to go slowly while filtering?
Filtering will be difficult in road works areas. Very small lanes. Where in Hamburg are you heading to? North of River Elbe? There's a tunnel to cross it, there might be roadworks at the moment, but there's also the possibility to take a big brigde."

It's going to be hard to just sit there, especially if raining!

Pedda is staying in Husum further north on the Thursday and avoiding Hamburg by using the ferry!
