H ...I'd 've thought touring on an Aprilla :? would be your ticket to any site as everyone knows anyone fixing a bike on a camp site provides entertainment for many :D

The July / August thing isn't just about using expensive ferries , it is about travel to port and sailing times .
Also if you work for a company with multiple employees most will have kids ...Trying to fit in your own holiday time is difficult as those with kids are clambering for those same weeks.
August on the continent is a touch easier as industry closes ..though this is getting less so as they change more to our model , but in rural France and Italy say, much is closed ..even hotels ..as they are on holiday!
Some people fly to EK's they are definatley subject to price hikes ...their fault for not riding though. ;)
We have always said you can't please/ accommodate everyone so organise an event for yourselves and welcome those who can attend .
So Alexandre best organise EK 9 to suit , either this year or next ..which ever is best for your committee . ;)

Also as the Germans have their meeting late May / early June, having a EK in early to mid July might affect some of them coming as so close (would need Pedda's input on that).

I don't see that having any negative effect. You will always find the usual suspects any meeting any time of the year. This years German meeting is also cancelled, so you might find us even more keen on meetings next year.

................I am hoping I can still go, whether with Kryten or on my own not sure yet, will talk to Kryten.................
If I go on my own I might go on the VStrom (to keep H company) but if with Kryten then the 400.....

So my personal view on this is that I still aim to go. If it is feasible. i.e. No quarantine. Although the N. Ireland-Eire-France route is always a possibility. Should be in contention for the “furthest travelled”

If it came down to a quick and dirty run to the campsite and back, I could well have the Speed Trip on the road by then (to keep the “‘Prilla and the Wildebeast” company) or as it would still be a quasi official Kat Do (EK9.1), then I’d take Skruffy. I’m easy either way :D

Like Bob, I’ll wait a bit and see.

I do know that Fred61 is not likely to be able to go. Despite “RED Fester” the Pop Up being all but complete. (I have seen and heard it running    :o :D )

Of course if there is an EK9.2....Bonus.

I am still going. Hopefully on the Kat 1000, if not then the Tiger 800. I have been working every night/weekend in the garage on the Kat to get it done for August. I think Sparki is going as well.

Not sure on the route, as i am waiting on my ferry situation for a trip to France in July. Might have to use that for August trip. So could have two spare places on a over night ferry for august going. :D Social distancing might be a problem with 4 to a room :D

I haven't decided yet, potentially could try & take week beginning 3rd off as well & stay at Fossies in 'isolation', but returning would need to work from home for the last week of August, but got lots on at work so not sure if I could get away with this yet.

Got my Carbs running nice now, so Keith, you can have the loan ones back, if it is just hop on the motorway & hit hyper-space, so be it. This would also apply for July meetings, If it's not stupid miles I would still see if was possible just for the weekend :)

We could do a Katana meeting in July - so long as you are protesting about something then the max group of 6 no longer applies it seems...
