Hi,glad you found us. Give it a day or so and you'll get loads of advise. Some of it may even be useful ;)

That particular bike does seem to have done the rounds a bit but I personally have no idea why as it seems, on the face of it, to be a decent bike.

As Mick said, don't worry to much, ride it and come visit us at a rally, we're actually quite nice :D

Hi there. :D
Your bike is a GS 650GX. with a fairing from an 1100/750 grafted on.
The clocks are from a GS 550 or 750 from 1976-79 vintage, so not Katana at all. :?

Avon didn't do replica fairings so I suspect the sticker is just a sticker fitted by a previous owner , of which there has been many for some reason. You will notice on this site this machine has been disscussed a few times.

The side stand is common to the GS 650 GT or GS 550 range, so should be available easily through either this club or ebay . But definatley not new unless NOS.

Are you happy with the bike? 650 katana's go on forever, even in my hands . ;)

In the ebay posting it was discribed as original. This is very misleading as so much of this machine isn't. Clocks, Exhaust,Fairing, gulliari seat. But if it all adds up to a decent machine at a price you are happy with , happy days.

Lets hope this machine has found a home it can live at.

Anyway welcome to our forum any more questions just ask and don't be a stranger either of you come visit us at a rally or show. ;)
