Yep really rare last model 650 with SD wheels , black engine and 2 tone tank. North American market.
Some found their way over in the 90's in the grey import explosion.

Re: bit of a head scratch
That makes me wish even more I'd kept it! I think I sold it in around 1995 to someone up Cromer way. I agree with Nicky, it was a good colour scheme.fossie wrote:Yep really rare last model 650 with SD wheels , black engine and 2 tone tank. North American market.

I just checked the Vehicle Tax status of it (HCL 847Y) and it was last taxed in 2008 and is currently on SORN, so it's still out there somewhere. Wonder if I could track it down?

Treat it like an old girlfriend, remember the good times but don't go back

Ah! Didn't know that, you'd have thought if you filled in the export bit of the registration doc then they remove it from the system. I guess 10 years is a while for it to be SORNed, but possible - I'll just dream it is sitting in someone's garage looking as lovely as the day I sold itfossie wrote:The records are not that complete it may be scrapped or exported, just the last notice was sorn in 2008.
