Hi everyone, I was hoping to see if anyone here had a solution for the crazing on the clear windows on the pop up katana's instruments cover . Not sure whether you guys in the UK get it like we do in Australia. It seems like it was all cast together so there is no way to pop out the windows and seat in new ones. Did think about laser cutting but then it could damage the surround and also you would still need to be able to seat the new windows in but there is no lip for that. If anyone has suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.
Dave.

Re: Instrument cover
have you tried polishing it to remove the scratches that cause the crazing. there are several products available for modern plastic car headlights that craze like this too. got to be worth a try.
Re: Instrument cover
Hi John, I haven't tried any products on it yet , I will look into that, though it is quite bad now. I haven't seen any pop ups here without the crazing.
Cheers.

Re: Instrument cover
We have the crazing here aswell.
There was a chap down under going to sort some lenses, when the owners club had a forum.

Hi Fossie, I have noticed also on the Japan sites if they have the 84 model instrument panel, they have crazing too.
I haven't heard of anyone here doing anything yet. It is as though the clear window and surround were made on the same mould as there is no lip on the windows.I did wonder whether it could be lasercut but then still have to seat it in somehow.
