I'm in Fife , I know a courier that delivers throughout the UK very reasonably?
Thanks for the advice on the ignitor uncle Bob , not sure where to go with it now tbh.....
I had a chat with Mrs Smallkat this morning, just before she was due to leave for work. A few points came out of this:

1. She knows me too well
2. She said she knows I've left it until she is nearly late for work to ask.
3. Where the hell am I going to put it? (dunno, but her summerhouse is quite spacious)
4. Don't I have enough motorbikes?

It's a possible 'yes' IF you decide to sell. She wants me to bargain you down to £1500, but I think that's unfair.

Have a think. We're quite happy to come to Fife to give you cash and then get the bike sent by courier.

Of course closing the garage door and pretending it dosen't exsist is very appealing also.

Smallkat mate the definition of lunacy ...carrying out the same tests and expecting different results :D :D :D :D :D :) :D
I ignored Smallkat for months, then gave it some TLC and now she's a lovely little kitten.

For some reason, I just can't resist another 400, even if it is the 'wrong' colour. I'm being drawn towards it like a moth to the flame. Now, what would I name it?

If you haven't swapped the Ignitor then for £100 it really is worth a try (from experience now!). As Fossie says, you've tried everything else and a shame to stop at this point. If you get it working then you'll love the bike, it's lovely to ride.

If you really don't want to, then send the existing Ignitor down to me and I'll try on my bike, not 100% but for £10 postage worth a try.

Hi Folks,

We've actually had the bike running at least four times, also have the videos to prove it ,the engine sounds nice and tight with no rattles, it's just extremely frustrating...I'm honestly done with it .....(the cdi must be ok if its starts sometimes! ...) I really do appreciate all the help it's time for it to go .... , my looking at RD 350 next! I've got a few other bikes that actually run too ...lol..

Well , if it must go it must go, by the time you get to the stage you are at trust has gone and it won't come back so best part as at least garage mates.
Reference Cdi , it's not the case if it starts it must be ok , not so with these cdi's we've found .

When my CDI started to go, it would start sometimes and run perfectly. It gave all the symptoms of the dreaded 400 carb problems! My coils were also on the way out, but I know you've done that.

I'll give you a call in the next few days and see if you really want to let it go.

I think you are right. Why did you give me the cursed shirt? Is that why I couldn't give it away to another club member?
