Indicators

Post by Tonykat » Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:15 pm

Hi, anyone know if it’s possible to get the rubber and brackets around the front indicators. My bike has the flush ones fitted and I would like to replace with more standard ones as in the photos.
Thank you
Tony

I take it this on a 400... They are still obtainable and the part number is in post in the sword of water post about a 250 ....I will see if I can dig it out ...but our resident 250 chappy should along in a bit.

The rubbers are still available, part number 35674-27A01, £6.19 each. I could order for you, but it's taking 6 weeks to get backorder stuff from Suzuki Europe. Quicker to order from a UK dealer. Just to warn you the ones I ordered for Smallkat are shocking quality!

You might struggle with the brackets. These are not listed at Suzuki Europe. Part numbers are 94642-45D00 and 94643-45D00. Probably best to fabricate your own from steel plate.

In the real world the flush indicators are fitted because every time you have to move the fairing , you have to get to the 10mm bolt that holds the bracket on to the fairing bracket and unplug the wires to remove indicators before you can even attempt to get to the fairing ....not a biggy sure , but unless you have Japanese hands , getting the wire back on with the bracket in place is a swear word too many! The flush one look better too.!

Thank you for the information, photos are of my 400 but I am replacing the indicators on my 250. I have made some brackets and ordered some large blind grommets, the indicators are the big katana types.

As usual with these parts they are made to fit a range of models, they are also used on the rgv 250 k/l models (1989) got mine several years ago from the official Suzuki vintage parts website, on the rgv parts section, think I only paid about a fiver each for them, but this was pre pandemic, pre brexit, pre war in Ukaine and pre Kate Bush topping the music charts again!! p.s the indicators are shared with the early rgv250 as well.
