The club had these made a few years back, they're ally trumpets that fit inside a gs500 air filter and thus allow it to be used on a 250/400 kat.
We have four of these if anybody needs one.

Hi John. don't know what the difference is if this is fitted or not, had my 250 kat for over eight years now and have had no air intake issues with just a plain gs500 filter fitted.

Some run fine without , but some struggle. They were made because the OEM filter was expensive and a long wait to get .
This item meant a GS 500 could be bought cheaper and easier just swap the intake ...if yours is ok then your on a winner !

Please save one for me. I will try it with/without and see if I can detect any difference.

Fitted a paper gs500 filter to my 250 kat, the one that came with the bike, and i'm assuming it's the original, is a metal tubular frame with cut outs and a foam washable element that wrapped around it, this worked fine as well even though it didn't have the trumpet attached.

Save one for me please - it can go with the 250 (for when it gets sorted!). I think I have one in the 400 already.
