250 alive
Hi, got my 250 back yesterday and took it for a run today, only 30 miles, but enjoyed it, sounds like you’re going faster than you are. Wish it had been running in summer, roll on the good weather, I am not one for getting cold and wet, it’s an age thing

Re: 250 alive
Echo what Fossie has said. I would add to use some anti-ethanol magic fluid in the fuel too. It might just be voodoo, but anything is worth a try in a Tinykat.
The noise is amazing when you ride it, then you look down and you are only doing 50.......................and that's KPH!
I don't ride in the cold and wet either. I've done my time.

Very smart Tonycat. The inevitable question, where did you get that overlay from... and cost please. As mine is still in kit form from my recent wrestling match I'm taking time to touch up the gnarly bits and that will tidy up the speedo unit 100%.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I'd love that overlay and new needles on Smallkat, but I'm frightened of f**king it up. I'm not going to find another instrument set anytime soon.

Re: 250 alive
On a 400 there no need to bother in top 3000 Rev is 30 mph , 4000 is 40 mph etc it won't go over 112 mph anyway as the black box will shut the power until it's back below for a measured distance ...Japanese legislation. .
The assist option is the inline convertor the screws to the rear of speedo in the cable , used to in abundance , but still getter able , ( I have one for trying / reference ) you need the blue not black .

Re: 250 alive
Not trying to be a kill joy here , and of course there is the obvious ....I'm talking bollox ....
However we have had people but mainly one in recent memory who had a kph speedo and fitted this mph over lay , it read out by a large amount really . The reason is just swapping the clock face won't alter the gearing in the speedo unit It's self , the amount of turns the wheel goes to the amount of turns the cogs turn ....mph clock and kph clocks are different .
The person whom I'm referencing ended up using a blue convertor , the obvious downside is only the first part of the speedo is used ..
Maybe this has been addressed and the spacing is suitable , but I fail to see if the trip meter/ odometer is in kph and these spacing so look like original that it anywhere near actuate .
That said on a 250 one it's moving you're pretty much breaking the speed limit anyway
