The airfilter for the 400/ 250 Kat is 13780-45D00. Which is available but can be a while to arrive .
The alternative is to buy a GS 500 ( twin) airfilter 13780 01D51 and use one of our trumpets that simply fits in the top and you can adjust to suit .
This item obviously can be reused in next filter saving in the long run .
£15 incl postage buys the trumpet .

As in other post (New Users), I'm waiting for one to be sent...

What exactly is the purpose of the trumpet? It can't be to tune the intake length?

It is to increase the volume pressure intake .
If you slip the trumpet in the filter all the way out and start the engine it sucks it down adding pressure through the filter to the carbs.

When I first got my 400 filters weren't available and we hadn't made the aftermarket adapters , I just found a connection from an old VAX Hoover was the correct diameter and cut it to length...adjusted it a few times, it was still there when I rehomed it 120,000 later .
There was a flat spot without it , gone with it ....until the carbs wore out, literally ..

Oooh nearly missed this post ....yep same PayPal address , PM me with postal address please ...I know I've had it once but we cannot assume it'll be the same ...
