Happy to have the 250 out of long term storage and quite exited to start a slow makeover

Finally on the bench!! This bike has suffered a damaged rear frame somehow complete with three shattered footrests and plenty more damaged stuff. Oh it’s rough all right!

As I had a smashed RHS fairing lower panel and a scruffy LHS one I spotted on eBay some copied panels from a business seller but wasn’t quite clear for which Katana model. I took a chance as there wasn’t any other available and bought the pair as I think they were just freshly made. If they weren’t the right ones I’d have remake them but today they came and unbelievably they are the perfect size and fit!! The quality is middle of the road as expected but it’s a good base for me to finish them off.

One of the few parts interchangable between 400/250/1100/750 are these fairing lowers ...The Shark fins also .

I didn't know that!
You can still get those new from Suzuki then I think (if you are prepared to pay but they will come painted ready in 13L though!)

Have you a seat for the 250? I've one that's Uber scabby and needs covering but is free...

If Tigcraft wants the seat, I can collect from you (and return your tent) and deliver to him. I'm planning on visiting him in the next couple of months.

I do have a Seat although it needs a couple of corners repairing as it’s torn through but… I will say yes to a spare seat if I’m allowed!

What I mostly need is a rear tailpiece as it’ll be hard to repair a textured part.

rear tailpiece comes in three parts that are held together by screws on the inside, so if yours is broken, you might just need one of the parts rather than the whole thing.
