That’s just so bizarre. Can’t justify the mindset

Don't try to understand the Japanese mindset. And I say that as 24% Japanese.

I'm sure Pookie will be along soon to give you the dimensions you need and yet another showing of his immaculate 250.

Finally managed to uncover the 250. I couldn't move it so left foot rest harder to do as against the wall.

Wow thank you for the help. There’s a fair few important information ares in there just on the picture even using a straight edge without measurements. Let me process it and I’ll see where I am. Eric

First thing I’ve noticed is the foot rest frame triangles, LHS upper tube is a gentle convex whilst lower which holds the gear leaver mount is flat. Over to the RHS the upper triangular tube is concave slightly therefore doesn’t match. The lower RHS is concave too ever so slightly as that can only be answered by saying it’s had pressure on the footrest from a gentle fall. It’s valuable infor!!

Could the RHS concave be due to the original exhaust shape/locating..obviously not obvious if you havean aftermarket Yoshi fitted.

IIRC one of my 250 footrest triangles looked bent, but obviously I sold it so can't help with specific data.

Sometimes ‘approximate’ has to do and I might just settle with ‘symmetrical’ on this bike as the build quality on the welds and thrown together finish by Suzuki makes an early classic ‘Skoda’ look like a premium vehicle.
It’s been a strange bike as I start by working out how a vehicle has become damaged and then I reverse it from there but I can only guess this has been thrown into a skip from height or dropped out of a container as there is no logical pattern to it’s damage. I’ve also got a side stand that has corrosion on the first three inches as if it’s been under water for many years. If it has I hope the engine internals are still serviceable although it does turn over fine.

I decided the easiest way to sort this thing is to lob the back subframe off and straighten it on my welders table jig.
