Well I never knew that... Amazon Japan 250/400 carb parts
While looking for some nice Takegawa parts for my recently acquired Honda 125 Dax ( ) I found some on Amazon Japan. I didn't think you could order from there and my normal Amazon account didn't work. So I registered as a new account, set the destination as UK and it then shows you items that will ship to the UK. I managed to get my Takegawa parts for £134 delivered and in the UK it would have been £170.
Anyway that's the background, so I wondered what other parts for other bikes may be available and interestingly you can actually buy the plastic floats for the Katana 400 / 250 and indeed complete overhaul kits. Floats work out around £55 delivered and the complete kit is a smidge over £100. Not sure on quality but for those prices it's worth a try or just to have in stock just in case...

Just to be clear, £100 for four full kits?
Good info, but I'm hoping to have some alternative carbs at some point.
Not those dear ones

Just get the originals sorted - Pookie and I both don't really have any issues ( of course that is the Kiss of death saying that ). Did take a minute or so of turning over waking from it's winter slumber, but ran lovely once started.
Yes looks like £100 for all 4. Another listing also has the diaphragms.
Delivery was bloody quick. I ordered some more Takegawa loveliness for my Dax at 14:30 on Tuesday and it was here 12 noon today (Friday) - less than 3 days!!! I wonder if Amazon take care of VAT? No extra charges asked for so none given Total was just under £135 so possibly OK anyway.

That’s handy to know, I’ve never bought off Amazon and I might just try the findings as it’ll fit in nicely

You're right Uncle Bob, my 250 Kat had been sitting under a cover in my carport for over five months, didn't even drain the carbs this year, just left it with a tank full of Esso supreme super unleaded fuel, charged the battery and it started third prod of the starter button! It's normally harder to start when it's been left for two weeks

Just shows the difference in good fuel. Left an MZ Skorpion Sport 660 for 4 1/2 years on shell 99octane and put a battery on it and started perfect!! Just goes to show not all is bad.

I'm psyching myself up to start Smallkat. Soon, soon.
I also have some new handlebars for her to replace the shitty chrome ones I put on.
