Ho Ho here we go again before anyone else jumps in . 
As you can appreciate this question has been answered many times. The all silver paint code is a Suzuki code of 13L. Bright silver metallic. This available from good paint suppliers but is now only water based.
As a Y Reg it may well have been multi coloured but resprayed, so not original anyway.
The 1997 wasn't 1997 as the model relaunch was 1994 and finally 2000.( DVLA paperwork strikes again....usually because people put date of first registration and date of import as the same.).
(We once had a 1997 pop up ...the last one came of the production line 10 years earlier!

Either way the the paint code is the same 13 bloody'L.
