OK another question from the other side of the pond. Are the bikes in members signatures bikes that are currently owned? Or are they bikes that were previously owned?

I ask this because I often see up to 10 bikes in the signature and I think, do they have a heated barn with the bikes on battery tenders and a maid that dusts them off, maybe a bar in the corner for some pals to come over and debate what main jets Winsten Churchil would recommend for a KZ 550 track bike. Or are these bikes packed in a back yard with a blue tarp covering them with 20 year old leaves packed in between the airbox and cases.

This doesn't keep me up at night, but I am a ponderer and this is something I ponder every time I see the list.

KZ1000 (shaft drive, embarrassed of this one)

KLX 250 (gave to my best man as a best man gift)

and in a few days a doner Bandit 1200 for the Katana to eat

Mostly current bikes owned. Although some of these bikes are a frame with V5 (log book)
Barns and a heated maid? More likely a collection of sheds for the married ones or for the no longer married, the bikes are in the house

Technically I own 3 Katanas. Only one is road legal and the other 2 although having a specific identity, could be configured in a variety of ways!

Great, thanks, that gives me a better picture. That also answers another question I was too scared to ask. I thought a V5 was an engine. I even googled it with Suzuki, then Kawasaki and on and on.

Bikes previously owned by me would be a boring book to read.

I'm with you Pedda , I still own most of the bikes I owned....or know where they are?

I have eight at the moment. Spread around the garage, office, shed and dining room. I have a very understanding wife.

I own all the bikes listed in my signature too - although the majority are projects that are work in progress.
