first of all i was a bit disappointed when i realised that the "strap on" was only a motorcycle part. however it looks very much like a 650 battery retaining strap to me, depending on dimensions. Yes, size does matter.

There are multiple battery straps on eBay , but I use a strap from a tie down with the loops added.

These straps do seem to be quite brittle. I use one on my X7 and it snapped a few weeks ago, although I was trying to pull it round a bulging tool bag.

Also these straps are now discontinued. I have a few in stock, but I have hiked the price up massively. Sorry. I gotta make a living somehow.

measure its length and have a look on ebay for a "rubber battery strap"... quite a few list the length and are only a few £.
