18" or other wheel size conversion
I have seen a lot of Katanas with other-than-stock wheel sizes, but I never hear of anyone trying to create the proper rake and trail to keep the bike from being a tricky, lethal handling miscreant. I've never seen "corrective" triple clamps or anything else on these machines. What's the real story? Are there 18" conversions that are "complete" and correct the rake and trail?

Re: 18" or other wheel size conversion
I just chose 18" as a suggestion because I have a GSXR with that size. So your send is to replace the front and rear whels with Bandit 1200 items? Are there any instructionals on remounting the gauge billet to that top yoke? And with the wheel size change, what are the ground/cornering clearance downsides?

and if you wanted to keep the stock look, the 400 kat has much wider rims than the 1100 kat but with the same snowflake spoke pattern and in 18 inch front and 17 inch rear.

So changing from a 19" front to a 17"front wheel doesn't change the bike's handling? Must be a pretty interesting fork angle to have that effect.
