Some of you know I was lucky enough to buy a Kat 1000 from Irish Dan at Stafford. Firstly big thank you to John Mac for collecting and delivering it for me. Top man ,just dont drink all that beer tonight!
Second the 'Fossie' approach to cleaning (and a scottoiler) seems to have preserved everything under the layer of oil, grease and grime.
I am hopeful that if I can find enough oily rags this should look reasonable without too much outlay.Dont want it to be a show stopping restoration, just a tidy ,close to standard 1000 :-)

Plenty of elbow grease needed, that'll keep you in the garage a while, looks like it'll scrub up a treat though :)
