Lovely early morning spin yesterday (Sunday) - out by 07:30am on the 400. Southwold on the Suffolk coast, where the Adnams brewery is, was the final destination, as I always like to get to the coast.
That 400 is such a great bike really. You can really use it 100% without doing speeds that would get a ban and hefty fine (just a hefty fine!). I sometimes wonder what the car drivers think as I come past them at about 10k rpm, but only 60 - 70 mph (ish).
Both sides of my 400 in one Photo!

You're doing 70mph at 10,000rpm? my 250 Kat is revving that much at 50! went out on a ride to the Surrey hills yesterday and it was like riding a 250 race bike from the 1960's, brilliant fun and you're not going to lose your license, when I bought my Kawasaki Kr-1 250 in 1989 I used to pull up outside a local funeral directors and take a glance in the mirrored window and think 'Barry Sheene' now I do it and my big gut hangs over the tank and I look more like Barry out of Eastenders!

70mph in top is about 8k rpm normally, but it's nice to drop it down 1 or 2 to overtakepookie wrote:You're doing 70mph at 10,000rpm?
250 sounds manic. I must see one in the flesh one day, though perhaps I might buy one - i have a lead... I must chase that up...
