Sun's Out

Post by Smallkat » Wed Apr 19, 2023 4:40 pm

Sun's out and she started second press of the button. However, she did get a bit fluffy at low revs around town. Perhaps a bit hot and bothered? I never hear the fan come on, but the warning light doesn't either, so presume all okay?

Been out a couple of times on the Speed Trip...

....so I thought I'd get the Kat out and de-hibernated.

Tyres oil chain all good.

But since the last time the battery had been on the Optimate, it decided that it would go into dead mode :x

New one on order from Wemoto :(

Will arrive about the same time as the forecasted rain!

Yes, it does seem better with more revs, but obviously not more than 10,500.

I had that last year with the Buell. Regularly on the Optimate, which said everything fine, but come the business of actually starting those two 600cc jugs, it didn't want to know. Replaced the Yuasa with a Motobatt, see how that goes this year, once I have fixed the stripped sump plug.
