From Lymm no less, don’t we know someone in Lymm?
Well I’m only a couple of miles away but it ain’t me 8-)
If a club member buys it I could go and have a look see and store it for them if needed.
There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

Looked at this quickly and got all excited as I am after another frame...then I zoomed out!

Saying that, if I could be sure it was a UK frame I might have had a dibble, assuming it doesn't go for some crazy Ebay nutter price.

I assume it's easy to tell by frame numbers?? is it?

I was wondering about the frame number. I can see that all the paint has been taken off the headstock where the number is. I wonder if it has been ground off?

Nothing screams poor workmanship quite like wrinkles in your duct tape.

I've emailed to ask if he'll tell me the frame number. I know people are suspicious about these requests, but if you don't ask...

My first thoughts when I saw the listing were about the frame number. it looks like it has been ground away.

The missing rear frame section is fixable and probably as good a reason as any to go for a mono shock (single sided) rear end with a bespoke sub frame.

But if the frame number's been removed that's a big headache with immovable .GOV agencies.

I think that you may even have issues if you did it as a track day/race bike.

its worthless without a frame number. all we know from what we can see is that its an sz frame, if its got no vin number, then its worth nothing at all. no vin means you will never get a v5 so it cant be put on the road. and no vin number means if you want to use it on the track theres a good chance you wont be allowed as the acu will check vin numbers at their events as part of scrutineering and they can and do ask for v5's as proof of ownership as they are keeen to root out the use of stolen bikes on tracks, so ground off engine and frame numbers are pretty likely to get you a fail at scrutineering. so a cut down frame with no legitimate identity and no way of getting one, i wouldnt give you tuppence for it.
