Geographically we are close to Barrow in Furness, but on the roads it's about 65 miles. I will definitely meet up with them at some point because Martin Crooks (who owns Crooks Suzuki in Barrow) is a member of that group and friend of mine. We'll probably have a group ride to somewhere like Kendal and meet them there.
I've got the X7 running quite well, so might take that. Just got to adjust the oil pump a bit and maybe change to semi-synth two-stroke oil. I don't think the fully synth is letting the rings bed in properly.
I haven't even started the X5 yet, so god knows how long that's going to take.

Re: 250SSM for sale on eBay
I've always followed the rule that whatever oil was used when the bike was built is best for it, heard a lot of stories about people putting fully synthetic oil in a 1990's four stroke bike and suffering bad clutch slip, have always used Rock oil power plus 2 semi synthetic two stroke oil in my Kawasaki Kr-1, it's still going strong after 34 years

I think when my X7 was made (1979) they would be only expecting you to use mineral oil. That's why I think I am going to reduce the amount of pump output and change to semi-synth.
