Re: Poll
Gonna wait ' till I see it in the flesh .......then say no, it's got too much unnesscary techno on it!
I have taken on board the argument about the original Kat being just an ET with a body kit and this a GS-R with a dodgy body kit,

Re: Poll
...saw it at the show this week. Disappointed would sum up my feelings. I'm sure it handles better and doesn't have all the problems we all put up with...but I didn't have any feelings for it. With all the issues it keeps giving me, I wouldn't swap it for mine [attachment=1]image

Re: Poll
Saw it yesterday.. mixed opinion.
As a previous popup owner, I like the front end, especially the black one, but the backend doesn't exist.
Kawasaki and Honda have made new motorcycles that look like the old ones... Whereas Suzuki have made a new motorcycle that is more like an evolution of the old one... and more an evolution of the popup design!!!
Definitely worth a test ride

Re: Poll
Firstly cheers for changing the thread name
Got to agree it ain't a Katana ......but like the new mini ain't a mini it is included in the mini club because if you don't include new blood and ideas you become like the old British bike companies who new they were better than the others but continued on with the same format until it was too late and they were left behind.
I am the prime example....there is no other bike.
As for XN's inclusion , there was nowhere else for them and our club slogan for ......target designed and inspired Suzuki .....so seeing as this Italian chap basically copied a katana all be it very angular and naffly done..
But no one has ticked the actual poll yet

Re: Poll
Like most on here i'm waiting to sit on or maybe ride it before giving an opinion, the more I see it on video and in pictures the more interested I am in it, only drawback so far is the 12 litre petrol tank, less than 100 miles range is pathetic, also Suzuki have said that they are going to make their bikes more 'modular' like Triumph and Ducati, so a 750 Katana based on the Gsx 750s looks imminent, sounds like a better all round package than the 1000.
