According to the translation from Google on that story "" Suzuki GF125U Katana is an old product Sob, this motorbike was sold and circulated for the first time in 2005."

But 140 Kmh is 87 mph, so I think the needle might break on the rev counter pin

Like the Monkey bike version :D

Apparently this gf125u was about 2005 for Asian/ Chinese market , Hong Kong being a major market surely we can find someone in HongKong! These are now old stuff and stock ......which needs a UK home!

Had to take my v strom for a service today , so while there I enquired about the sales of the new Katana at Bolton Motorcycles ....from launch date to today ......1.

Salesman reckons Suzuki will most likely drop if in a year like they did with BKing ....which now are sought after .....this will keep the value up.... :?

Yep that is a well considered argument, to which I'd agree mostly.
On quest tv at when no one else is up o'clock there's a programme "chasing classic cars " the chap is basically a dealer who buys prestine motors , tarts them up and punts them out in he USA ...
When they were expecting 16 million dollars for a lemans attending unrestored Shelby , one of only 4 built....they got 6 million! For a 60 year old car!!!!
They were saying that world economy will catch up again so till then they are holding on to their investment...
Not really our league but then the real sales of Katanas recently have been in the £6000 region not the 10000 above.
The argument about classic bike buyers getting on a bit and passing away without the younger ones getting involved ...yep how can you distinguish between any modern machines after 1995?
There are no ground breaking styles of developments to stand out, with prices for new machines high to start with , with written in limited life span. The next investment explosion is at God end of 2050 when everything is electric and petrol engines are the only way relive the way it was!
