Sold mine

Post by SamK » Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:29 pm

So, after about a year and a half and nearly 19k km I decided to sell.
Absolutely no interest from private buyers so it went to the Spanish version of ‘we buy any bike’ for €7,800 with full set of Shad luggage.

Reason for selling was mainly that I never used it’s full potential. Loads of low down torque with the power really kicking in at about 7000rpm. I very seldom hit the power.
Add to that I was having more fun riding my underpowered Harley Sportster 1200, ie being able to thrash it to its full potential.

I have no regrets buying or selling when I did.
It was an overall happy experience.

Sam.

Fun is the name of the game. I ride so slowly, my 100 hp, Sportster based Buell is plenty.

At the moment i've got a 55bhp Kawasaki Kr-1 250 two stroke twin that i've owned from new (33years!) a Suzuki gsr 750 naked four stroke with a 2004 Gsx-r 750 motor tuned down to 105hp, but the bike I always choose to have fun on is the 40bhp 250cc Katana, it sounds like a formula one car when you get above 12,000rpm, and you feel like your doing 100mph when your only doing 50! it's the most fun you can have on two wheels, size doesn't matter.
