i'm looking for a website to try to trace a motor, is there one throught the dvla or other please ?

Depends what you mean by trace a motor, if you mean motor as in engine then NO. only the frame number is listed for prosperity, however if you mean motor as in "Oh john gota new motah" Then DVLA could help by telling you if that veh is still taxed.
