another on the road

Post by jimmy400 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 5:20 pm

Hi guys, as people will know over the last few years iv'e had all sorts of problems. will it start, will it run after it's started, how long before it let me down. Before the trip to Switzerland i swapped my coils and the bike ran like a dream and continued to do so. When the tax and mot ran out last year i sorned it and parked it in the back yard. Fossie borrowed the cdi and choke lever and it looked a bit sorry with bits taken off. Then a couple of weeks back i got the bits back, put it together, got some new petrol and a pressed the button. it turned over, but didn't feel or sound like it was going to go. I couldn't flatten the battery because i needed it that night. Anyway today after work i had another crack at it, and after about 5 mins of trying i realised it wouldn't go if it didn't have any choke. I turned the choke on and in about 2 mins it fired and run without missing a beat. It now has an mot and will be tax later tonight. Roll on ey up mancee kat and the rest of the summer. Jimmy.
if at first you succeed, don't look suprised.

Nice one Jimmy! 8-)

I also got my new bike MOTd today as well, then I went out to do my best Red arrows impression, on one of the GDR's finest.

The "BEAST FROM THE EAST" lives

appologies to anyone offended with this post!

But at least its actually on the road and not in a shed.........in a million pieces, never to see the light of day this decade..... ;)

MOT booked for next Wednesday. Got home after a week working away in Scotland to find the garage smelling of petrol and a stain under the bike on the nice carpet it sits on.

Typical Cat, p155ing on the carpet.
