Would carpentry tools suffice in cutting a location for it?
Well i would not be using a hand saw or a 50mm bevel edged chisel, tho nailing it in to place with my paslode framing nail gun would be very quick but not exactly leek free  :D

Depending on the size and shape i would either use a metal hole cutter or just chain drill it and file to shape.

Getting hold of a katana fuel gague or set of clocks will be the tricky bit, unless you can point me in the right direction ;)

The direction you'd need to look is South east ..............Australia or better New Zealand, there is a kiwi who breaks SE /SF.

Convict or kiwi land

If you have a web address for them an enquiry would not do any harm.

I sent an email off to them and got a very fast reply. Sadly they dont have any in stock. Ive sent emails to 3 other "bike wreckers" in nz so its wait and see time.
