The front mudguard is bent at the front and the chrome is damaged, front & rear indicators are smashed and the front brake lever is bent. The forks got twisted in the yokes but I’ve sorted that. Thankfully no damage to the beautiful paint job on the tank or the brand new priceless exhaust. No damage to me apart from a bruised wrist. Not a happy chappy

Feck feck feckity feck
Got my registration this morning for the T500 so I made a temporary number plate up and popped down to the garage on it to put some fuel in it. Got the fuel and set off for a test ride to see if everything was hunky dory, loose nuts & leaks etc. I got to a tee junction 1.8mile from starting out when I got rear ended

It could have been a lot worse, I mean it’s only taken me five years to restore and I get taken out after 1.8 miles
Oh and of course it could have been my Kat

Yeah the bike will be good Mick, I’ve had a word with the guy who does the chrome and he’s going to sort that out. I was wearing my new open face lid complete with shades ala “Chips”
which survived without a scratch

tough break Paul. Good to hear that you are OK and the bike damage is superficial. Was it an Audi?

Surprisingly it wasn’t, nor was it a BMW

anything that you can walk away from is a win in my book. whatever damage to the bike, metal can be fixed. glad youre ok. i know its a pisser about the bike, but as you say, at least it wasnt the kat.......
