Out & about in lockdown

Post by PaulD » Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:19 am

We’ve had a couple of really nice cold dry days here lately so as Beelzebitch is bagged up for the winter I dragged the T500 out of hibernation and had a couple of nice ride outs clocking a 150 odd miles up. All within a five mile radius of home obviously
Despite not being started since before Christmas she fired up with three kicks. I really love this bike and it’s such a nice relaxing thing to ride 8-)
Sorry no pics as it was too cold to get my phone out
There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!
A quote from my old dad 8-)

I started out with nothing and I’ve got most of it left!

A little less restrictive here.. non essential travel is allowed within the region, but social gathering is limited to 1 person outside of your household!!!

Had a wee run yesterday.. only about 100 miles.
And it was about 20°, so I did take photos Image

I Rode my newly purchased Bandit 1200 home from the shop, had the carbs synced and cleaned. Man that thing pulls hard from down low. I'm used to sport bikes that don't have that gift. Some previous owner put drag bars on it so they are super low, but the original sane mounted foot pegs make the seating position about the same as a prostate exam

Here in California it's a mixed bag, in Los Angeles, they are pretty careful, I'm just one county south of LA and here some people wear masks, some don't, some eateries are closed some aren't, all three of my gyms are open, and some put up window coverings.
82 Katana 1000 (work in progress, but she will be beautiful she has a dedicated sugar daddy)
2010 Z1000 (50k miles, I think that is like 60 Kilometer's or so)
