I too have radiator woes,My 54 triumph TR2 (its a car) has just cracked its radiator for its 3rd time in two years, you have to take the front of the car off to remove it. So I feel your pain fossie. Hope it all holds together.

Well it just needed to be shown some affection obviously, No problem while in France when it was 90 odd degrees in the shade.
However very soon I will have to do it all again as it only has water in , so I'll have to drain it out and add coolant.
There is no rad drain and filling it is through the expansion bottle , so the only way to ensure it is done properly is to remove thermostat, so the fluid can go through from expansion tank in to heater and then rad unrestricted. But at least I know the couplings will not be siezed in !
