Quick update on this thing.........
We sorted the handling by changing the tyre choice to Michelin Road Pilot 3 . Wow most excellent tyres, even in torrential rain at should we say realistic motorway speeds. More expensive but we are getting more miles per tyre so makes sense all round.

However a new clutch was fitted to both bikes at 37000 miles ! A complete unit basket and all. All the dullsville forums recognise the issue.......*onda DON'T!
Mine is back in 3000 miles later. Slipping so bad the cable is wound off and can't overtake over 65 on a motorway. So it is the shop ...............this means ...............THE VAN. Is my weapon of work!!!!!!!!

On the plus side I have to Ride the 400 Kat to get to work :D

Well what do you know, clutch slipping on a dulvile..........
Yep at 42000miles the clutch is at it again , and so is the other one. However this is strange ,the cable adjusts it's self tight after a day. allow slack and the next evening the clutch cable is so tight it slips.
I can only assume that the basket works a bit loose so chases the actator arm if you get my drift.
Multiple browsing of dulvile owners sites , and yep people out there with 2 clutch's in 29000 miles, still no fault say *onda.
Again major upside.... My company have hired me a bike .......while mines in the shop ......... from Me a......400 Katana with 108000 on the clock 20 years old and more reliable , in the clutch department anyway than a 1 year dulvile.
. So I'm getting paid to ride my bike
  ;) :P

Yup,my mate had exactly the same problem with his dulvile. Clutch problems almost from new. Think it had a new basket at some point. He flogged it after 18 months with the bike having spent almost 2 months in the dealers over that period. The dulvile is a heap of shit but H*nda won't admit it.

On that point it's much the same with BM* who won't admit they've over developed the twin and that they blow cranks on the 1150's. Have heard some proper horror stories about them and funnily enough it's the GS's which suffer worst.

Yup,know what you mean. Had a revere at Pony Express and rode a Vt500 to it's demise at about 95k all with no clutch problems. Something must've been changed....

This was a post now it's a saga. :(
Basically I had to release all the adjustment from the cable , then add a bit, then every 200 miles slacken again. It wasn't until I told my manager that I wouldn't be in on Friday as my bike would break down on Thursady night, He took notice. :o
Upshot Honda say no fault but take it to H*nda dealer for them to check it out and ensure correct parts and fitting of OE equipment.
Though the say 37000miles was acceptable!!!!!!!!! for a clutch. :x :o
This was done , do you know how much of the bike needs to come off a Dulville , just toget to clutch cover!!!
Everything was fitted fine but the plates are shot, then it was noticed that the pressure plate part is ground away at least 2mm. ( On the Dulvile forum they say add an extra metal plate, this revelation explains why that works, it takes up the space , until there is no plate left.)

Anyway for us to claim, Hond* say we must have a whole new clutch fitted by a *onda technican at a *onda dealership , monitor it , then put in a claim, if it isn't acceptable . But from what they said before 37000 is to them , not any one else though. :?

So my company have done that , it is still in *unts and I am on a loan bike , a Transalp, same engine etc and a far far far superior machine, evrything a dulvile isn't.

Now for the bit you've been waiting for the quote .............................

£856.73 plus VAT. :o
So go on justify that sort of money for a clutch.

But best of all the dealer at the end of conversation about price tried to sell my manager a new old stock transalp for £6500..... Customer relations in action.
If it was mine I would have just told 'em to swivel.

What really concerns me is the fact that there is a Dulville forum - which means there has to be fans! :o :o :o

Well, Friday got a call from Hunts *onda dealership ( spelt with a C). to tell me that the offending dulville was ready for collection , I said I'd come and get it Christmas eve, but ever the humourless ones they said, eh?

When I entered the dealership garage to collect it , the reception chap/sales person was pointing to my Dulville and discussing it with a couple of chaps from THE NHS blood bike service. As I aproached it he said to me as he pointed to my bike "I've just sold them one of these on the strength of yours."

What *kin planet is he on!!!!!!!
So I just said don't buy a 700 whatever you do!
The sales person looked a bit put out, so I told him that seeing as he used my bike and me as a reference I have ever right to make that reference.

i did however speak to them after to clarify my issues and point out this was just my opinion, it may well be that of my co worker , but that might just be a strong coincidence.
