Ross was the rider (sorry, can't remember the passenger's name), but they were on a Yam 90 (not a townmate as they are 80cc and shaft, this one had a chain) as both of their 50's had issues before the start.
It bought the performance back down nicely.

Twas a real scream.............I think Paul nearly pissed himself when we got back to FBJs and I was gagging for a drink and took a swig from my 2 stroke bottle instead of my water bottle! DOH!

I think FBJs ped was the fastest and also the torquiest..................mine was quite quick on the flat and down hills but utter pants up hill.............unless you revved the bollocks off it! All added to the fun tho! One of the bikes a 1963 Phillips Panda had lots of issues and had to be repaired with stuff we had with us or could find or scrounge ,things like slithers of a coke can for bearings and some rusty gate hinge washers and a bit of tubing I found in a derilict barn! Another brakedown involved a gearbox casing removal in a hedge and then hunting for the front sprocket nut which had fallen off 50 yards down a dirt track! We eventually found the missing nut!

The guy on the back of the Yam steppa hardly spoke a word all weekend and sat for 10 hours on the back of the bike on the way there and another 8 hours on the way back smoking roll ups! Ouch!!!
He even went to sleep in his sleeping bag still in ALL his clothes and without removing shoes! WTF !
I think I was getting 70 miles from 3 litres of fuel! And then I ran out with a 1/4 of a litre still in the bottom of the tank that was below the fuel tap...........great design there then Suzuki

pics to follow................when I get time! ;)
