Whilst working in my garden this last week I have had to cut down an overgrown hedge / tree.
Now after finally cutting it all down, its now time to try and remove the stump!

So started digging around and cutting roots as I got deeper.

you getting excited yet? ;)

Suddenly I hear this metallic sound as the spade uncovers something.........someting that should not be underneath a tree!

I keep digging and then find something that looks like a tin...........a large tin!

The more i dig the more I expose.....................................

You excited yet?

ha ha, reminds me of the tale my mate told of removing a treestump using a biscuit tin, some black powder and a homemade detonator! it ended up involving the bomb squad police gas board and several local glaziers!!

of course, back in the old days, when the pet cat dies they popped it in a box or a tin and buried it in the garden often planting a tree on the top of it!

Haha that reminds me of a bloke I used to work with (briefly) who decided to "clean out" the inside of the cement mixer by putting some wood & paper in it then some petrol before throwing a lighted match inside.
Stupid tw*t stood in front of drum when he threw the match!!

Piss myself??/ Very nearly...but it was the guy working in the tree in field opposite who nearly fell out of said tree he was laughing so much.

Derek (the tw*t) lost not only his much prized 'tache in the ensuring fireball that shot out of mixer but also ALL his facial hair

It was incidents like that, that made working worthwhile....
