I'm fine, just a bit pi**ed off with work at the moment.

Somehow I've been lumbered with another 2 sub postcodes and a late collection every day, so I don't get back until 7pm every night - for another £4 a day!
Tomorrow I have decided that I'm not getting in at 4.45 (so that I can get out early and clear my round), but I will start at 6.45 and will make damn sure that I have a lunch break during the day.

See how long it takes for them to re-think all these "extras"

I was going to buy my own van last week, but UK Mail have shafted the drivers again with an "exicting" new ETA feature for thier customers.
Basically, we now have a 4 hour window to deliver in certain sub postcodes or face a fine (well I don't, but it will only be a matter of time before I get moaned at and will lose my four quid), the trouble is I start in TN23 3 and also finish in the same code.

In the six months I've been there, I've seen the goalposts change twice in the company's favour, hence the extra work piled onto me as the bloke I drive for is being squeezed even more.

Oh, and to cap it off, I managed to reverse into a skip last week and have got to buy a back light and straighten the door out.

theres a wman over on bikersweb looking for owner drivers with vans, or drivers who will have to pay the rental for a van, but the money looks ok, but i dont know how local to you it is. this is a cut and paste of her ad,

"A friend of mine has 3 work opportunities for those happy to be self employed.

The job - van courier work

The location - along the A10 corridor between Waltham Abbey and Hertford.

The remuneration - between £500 - £600 per week if you have your own van, less £120 per week to cover van hire and insurance if you don't have a van.

Age - not relevant if you're in your own van. Over 21 if you need a van hired for you, due to insurance restrictions.

The boss - very good and down to earth mate of mine.

If anyone is interested PM me and I'll pass on his number."

As I am, I'm on £400 a week, plus my "bonus" - Without the expenses of fuel, insurance and servicing. The only real expenses I have is my phone and a ridiculous amount of pens that I seem to get through, in these tough times, it could be worse.

As for bikes, the only thing that's taxed and tested at the moment is the SH50, the 650 Kat got taxed at the beginning of July and the disc has still not made it to the bike, now the MOT has run out and I don't have the time to do it.
