The pitch was a bit out of the way but I thought it was the best stand with the best bikes and was certainly the friendliest but am a bit biased!!!

thats the same kat 11 that ive tried to buy at least 3 times over the years, last time was only last year iirc. it is alledgedly the remnants of a nz/aus market sxz1100, though its been bastardised into a 750 frame, put on a Q plate and run into the ground.

Yep it was Mark Owens which if you remember he sold on e bay in the end because a workshop said it was too expensive to repair the head gasket leak and solve the high temp on a particular cylinder.
Well it is such a shame, clearly non of the faults rectified and in such a poor state, worth now maybe £800!

I spent all afternoon looking for this bike. Where was it?
Well over priced by the sounds of it though.
Thought the pitch possition wasn't to bad. Next to the CX stand though

Someone trying to tell us something.
Anyone catch the kat on the racefit stand. Well it was a kat frame anyway. Heavily modifed ET or EF tank, ET tail, EFE motor, TL 1000 swingarm converted to twin shock and possibly best sexiest exhaust I've ever seen.
Asked for a rough price on a one off exhaust in Ti, about £1300. I don't normally spend that on a complete bike!!

ok, wire wheel kat, good points, its a wire wheel kat, theres some history with it, its got a sort of authentic air about some of its parts, the blanked off anti dive, the aus market race clipons, the original aus vin plate, the fact that its a runner(so you can run it and see what else is wrong with it)
bad points, and this isnt a by any means comprehensive list,
its on a Q plate, so hasnt kept its original frame and thus identity, its built into a 750 frame making it even worse, cos its not even going to have an 1100 chassis number if you could register it again, its a tatty rusty shed with very few parts not requiring refurbishing, the engine mounts for the front lowers look like they were chewed from old coke cans by the owners dog, indicative of the standard of care this bike has had in other departments? its not taxed or tested, its not known if the faults with the engine which put off previous owners have been rectified, damage to every single plastic body panel as well as tank dents and rust. and this is on top of the fact that it has been doing the rounds now for a while and so has had a couple of owners, why didnt they do anything about its faults? or what did they find that made them sell it on?
i have however got the number of the seller if anyone fancies a punt at it, but i personally wouldnt give more than 800 quid for it, and thats from a guy with a spare 1100 frame in the shed.
