Can any of u recommend a descent metal finisher? About to start restoring my rd400c an want to get all the fixings zinc coated. Unless one of u recommends a better coating.

Im just about to get some zinc plating done on my ped...........im going to use a firm called Raccoon rebuilds down in Ashford.I have used a place called R&S chrome services before but their plating tank has a big hole, so they cant do zincing , they also said that they can do Flash chroming which looks similar and doesnt tarnish like BZP does.

Look for a platers in your local area.
You can strip all the old zinc off in some old battery acid, But only leave it in for a few minutes until it stop fizzing , wash offf in water DRY and then buff to a high shine on a wire wheel on your bench grinder.

That's what I do!
