Just take the top yokes of a GSX model with bars on it stock wise. Crucial easurements are the same as on the Katana yokes.

grrrrrrrrrr, triples? where in the usa are you?, oh, hang on, we are in the uk? has your kat got fenders? ever been in the motor and looked at the wrist pin? no, thats because we live in the uk and your yokes are what they were always called. yokes!!
ok, in answer to your queery, yes, fossie has some risers that will fit yourexisting forks on top of the YOKE and allow you ro fit any bars, faves seem to be the cross braced motocross bars made by renthal and many others. alternatively, you can fit the bars off the jap home market kat. these were much higher than the stock kat ones due to the diminutive stature of some of the japanese home market!!
as for swapping stuff round, yes some gsx top yokes go straight on, and chain drive gs1000 top yokes also fit, but be wary of the model you select. suzuki gs models with leading axle forks have slighly different geometry and their yokes are different to the kat geometry wise, in short they dont fit. look at the model you want to use the yokes from and look at the front wheel spindle. if it goes through the centre line of the fork leg, then it will fit. if it goes through a lug cast into the leading edge of the fork, then it wont fit. again this lets you fit any bars you want.

another option would be to pop off the clip-ons, push the forks through the yoke (for the height of the clip-ons) and then attach the clip-ons above the yoke for a more comfy position... will have the added benefit of quickening the steering at the same time by some margin... just an option and worth a shot imo. kats look soo much nicer with clip-ons imo that flat bars so has to be worth a try. plus it's free! ;)

and if you fit stiffer springs in the front to counter the sag you might end up with the bike sitting pretty much as level it was supposed to anyway.

Thanks for the help all. Sorry for calling them triples but every time i searched i ended up on american sites. Found some tarozzi 70 mm rise clipons, has anyone tried these or seen them?
A firm ive dealt with before called psycleworkz in peterborough said they could make a new top yoke for about £150 out of billet aluminium.
I aggree they look better with clip ons though.
Still, today im gonna get the bike going today got a new gel battery and filters so will be busy today.
Next step mot then on the road next week, i will worry about cleaning it up later.

Hi johnr
I havent done anything yet waiting to get the bike on the road. Got to wait till end of month due to insurance. If i insure now it will cost 360 if i wait 2 weeks i can insure both bikes for 140 so frustratingly i wait.
I did like the look of the tarrozzi risers but let me know how u get on
Cheers
Dave
