Non Kat related, I'm afraid Look away now!

I've recently had a pair of SuperMaxx's fitted to the Trumpf.

I've done the usual 200 odd miles of riding gently etc to give the release compound a chance to scrub off.

Gave it some welly yesterday and just had a look at the tyres. There appears to be some rubbery type stuff on the surface of the tyres. Imagine "Evo Stick" adhesive when you peel the dried excess off of something. Looks to be the same browny colour too - if definately isnt black!

I've never run this particular type of rubber before, and got them because a; the price was right (£154 delivered) and b; a friend who runs the local bike school runs them on his CB-F600 fleet, and swears by them as they are soft enough to grip well and last a fair while for softies. Now, I dunno if any of you have ridden a 900 Trident or Sprint, but they are a bit top heavy and require a fair amount of effort in the corners - and the rear Dunlop & front Battlax didn't exactly make me feel confident.

Anyway, I digress - Is this stuff the release agent, or tyre compound?

The speed was double figures.... Just

Bloody helmet is that noisy, I thought I had another gear left! It wasn't till I glanced down at the speedo I realised what I was doing! Whoops!

And before anybody mentions the buzzer on the indicators - It was already there when I bought the bike! Although it is useful for the camera, as it gives an audible indication (should footage ever be needed for legal purposes) and also I find it useful in town when turning left - pedestrians hear it and stop and look before jumping out in front of one! It's a different story on the "Taliban Taxi".... so, for those reasons, it's staying!

A camera is a definate requirement round here - lot's of coffin dodgers driving round town that cannot see past the end of their own noses that didn't ought to have a driving license. Yesterday I was following some old bloke right through the middle of town on the 125 having to slip the clutch in 1st, with left foot hovering near the road surface, he was going that slow. No indications, just pointed in the direction he wanted to go and went - everybody else had to get out of his way! Pity I wasn't on the Trumpf - I'd have been straight up the nick with the footage, requesting he be subject to the 20m eye test!

There is one old bag in a Corolla that I'm gunning for - the state of the car is terrible with scrapes and scratches all over. I'll get her one day

Yes, I'm an evil b'stard! Suppose it comes of being taught how to ride (properly) by a retired Police Inspector/Biker/Training school boss - who now owns his own school. Who else here knows what IPSGA means? And the I can be broken down to TUG... anybody? lol

I did notice a small patch on the back a few days afterwards!




I pulled the patch off the front, and there was clean black rubber underneath. Took some tugging, too!

Looking at the "Practical Riding Test Explained" notes, these days it's OSMPSL Mal.... or that's what it says on the sheet, anyhow!

RILYSI - I should have known!! I did that earlier Went out with the missus earlier, and junior decided to tag along, so I didn't feel guilty about giving it some gaskrank, and leaving the pair of them to their own devices on 125's!

Saw a dead Muntjac lying in the road at a distance - but I didn't see the bit of the vehicle that hit it until I was almost on top of it! Man, that front brake on the Sprint is lethal since it's been bled properly! Felt like the back end was about to buck me off!

Booked my "Advanced" test today for next Friday - And my riding has instantly gone to pot! I blame the full fuel tank I had today, I don't think I've ever brimmed it before
